We received excellent response from our members and readers to the first issue of the digital magazine Structural Engineering Digest. The magazines in the print format and in the electronic format have distinctly different appeal to the readers. We have attempted to design the magazine in terms to optimize the appeal of e-SED. The magazine is sent out by e-mail in html format which is easy to open and read. We have also designed the magazine in a PDF format with graphics design so that it could be down loaded and a hard copy be maintained.

 

We appeal to readers to send us technical articles for publication. Given below is the content design of the magazine. We feel that it would greatly benefit the readers if relevant articles published in magazines in India and abroad- reprint of the original article or review of the article or simply the abstract/synopsis of the article. The readers then can go to the original source for more information. Obviously IAStructE will obtain necessary permissions from the publishers/authors for the purpose.
